Add Watermark to PDF

Client-side only

Your file never leaves your browser. This page has no upload endpoint and its Content-Security-Policy blocks every outgoing connection — open your Network tab to confirm nothing is sent anywhere.

What this tool does

Add Watermark places text or an image on every page of your PDF, with control over opacity, rotation angle, and whether it repeats in a tiled grid or sits once in the center. Everything runs locally in your browser tab, using the PDF's built-in font for text watermarks — nothing is uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Drop a PDF onto the box above.
  2. Choose text or image, and set opacity, rotation, and tiling.
  3. Click Add Watermark to download the result.

Limitations

Password-protected PDFs are rejected rather than silently skipped. This tool only adds watermarks — it does not remove them, and never will.

Frequently asked questions

Can I remove a watermark with this tool?
No — this tool only adds watermarks. Removing copyright or ownership marks from a document you don't hold rights to can carry real legal exposure, so that feature isn't offered here.
What does tiling do?
Instead of one watermark centered on the page, tiling repeats it across the full page in a grid — harder to crop out of a single spot.
