What this tool does
Merge PDF combines two or more PDF files into a single document, in whatever order you arrange them. Everything happens locally using a PDF library running inside your browser tab — there is no upload step, no server processing, and no account. It's the same result as a desktop PDF editor's merge feature, without installing anything or sending your files anywhere.
How to use it
- Drop your PDF files onto the box above, or click it to browse.
- Reorder them by dragging a file or using the up/down buttons — this is the order pages will appear in the output.
- Click Merge PDFs and wait for the result summary.
- Click Download to save
merged.pdf.
Limitations
Password-protected PDFs are rejected, not silently skipped — merging around an encrypted file would change what you asked for. There's no artificial file-count or size cap, but very large batches are limited by your device's own memory, since the whole operation runs in the tab you're looking at.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The merge happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDF files are never sent to a server — you can confirm this by opening your browser's Network tab before merging.
Is there a limit on file size or number of files?
No artificial limit is applied. The practical ceiling is your device's available memory, since every file is held in the browser tab while merging. Very large batches on a low-memory device may fail — you'll get a clear error rather than a silent freeze.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Not directly. Encrypted PDFs are detected and rejected with a clear error, because removing a password without prompting for it would be a security bypass, not a merge.
What order will the pages be in?
Whatever order the files are listed in on the page. Drag a file to reorder it, or use the up/down buttons, before clicking Merge.
